Report Your Stolen Mobile Phone: Before It Gets Used For Terrorist Motives

Terrorism is one of the major issues Pakistan is facing these days. Terrorists are using many means to spread terrorism in Pakistan. The purpose of writing this article is to let our readers know about the calamity they may run into, due to their lost/stolen cell phones. If your mobile is lost, or has been stolen, you must know that thed device can possibly be used in any terrorism related activity.

Terrorists contact each other through cell phones mostly, and these cell phones are mostly stolen. Whenever investigation agencies investigate any terrorism activity, e.g any bomb blast, they find many clues, one of the major ones is a mobile phone, most of the time, and the SIM cards of the terrorists.

As mentioned above, most of those mobile phones used in such activities are stolen, and so are the SIM Cards within those phones, so security agencies look to find the owner of the cell phones and  SIM cards. Now you know where you could fall, eventually. Scary, isn’t it?

Here’s How to Block SIM

You must call the helpline of the cellular company, which your stolen SIM belongs. Let them know that your phone has been stolen so that they block the SIM rightaway. They are going to ask you these details:

• Your Name
• Your SIM Number
• Your National Identity Card Number
• Your Address

Or you may visit any nearest franchise of that telecom carrier and get this done.

Here’s How to Block Phone

To report and block your stolen phone, you must know the IMEI  number of your phone. If you don’t know it, note it down by dialing *#06# (if your phone is not stolen yet).

But if the phone is stolen, find out your stolen mobile phone’s box, and you’ll find its IMEI number at the back of the box. Once you know your IMEI number, it’s easy.

First thing, call 15, and report to the police.
